Victoria Beckham–who keeps saying she has no acting ambitions and doesn’t want to be famous–is slated to guest-star on “Ugly Betty” this Fall. Executive Producer Marco Pennette confirmed the rumor at an ABC party last night and hinted she might be playing a bridesmaid.

“There’s a wedding dress involved. There’s a wedding involved with her storyline.”

Then Eric Mabius, who co-stars on the show, had to proceed to kiss Posh’s skinny ass:

“She catches a lot of flak in the press in England, and I don’t know why exactly, because she’s a very eloquent, highly functioning, brilliant woman. I went to the UK Glamour awards so I spent a little bit of time with her, and she couldn’t have been sweeter and more well-spoken — just cool.”

Yes, she’s the bestest of the best. I always love when celebrities (even D-List ones–Kathy Griffin excluded) do the “she/he is really a super nice person–they don’t deserve the criticism” mantra, as it sounds so disingenuous and makes me think the A-Lister is sitting at home snickering at how they got another pawn to pimp them out.
