Owen Wilson Hospitalized For “Dehydration”
Owen Wilson was hospitalized on Sunday for what will officially be called dehydration, but that the actor will go through detox, per The National Enquirer. Ah, THAT kind of dehydration.
Or not–now the possibility of a suicide attempt has been raised.
Per the tabloid, Wilson was brought by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, where both police and a well-known criminal attorney were present. His condition was first described as “very serious,” but he was then stabilized and transferred to a different L.A.-area hospital.
I had no idea he had a problem–with not drinking enough water, I mean. Or for being suicidal, for that matter. Of course, when I think of him–which is somewhere in the neighborhood of next to never–I think of Dupree from “You, Me, and Dupree,” which is actually a really, really funny movie. But, have I been living in a cave or did this seemingly come out of nowhere? Was he was despondent over his break-up with Kate Hudson? Because THAT I really cannot see. I thought the story was The Butterscotch Stallion didn’t want the commitment. Oh, now I’m really confused.
UPDATE: Wilson released the following statement:
“I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”
Definitely sounds like a suicide attempt.
