Owen Wilson Lightens His Work Load
Owen Wilson officially dropped out of his role in the upcoming Ben Stiller movie, “Tropic Thunder.” Given he was supposed to start filming in the next couple of weeks in Hawaii, this is kind of a no-brainer. The guy has a lot more to deal with than worrying about high-tailing it over there for a film. Especially a Ben Stiller movie.
His part was only supposed to film for about a week, and Variety says his character might just be written out of the plot. Wilson’s decision to pull out was mutually agreed upon by Owen and Stiller. The two have appeared together in eight movies: The Cable Guy, Permanent Midnight, Meet the Parents, Zoolander, The Royal Tenenbaums, Starsky & Hutch, Meet the Fockers and Night at the Museum–all of which Owen was funny and/or enjoyable in and Stiller was his usual obnoxious self.
