The Jolie-Pitts have left Europe behind and are back in the good old U.S.A.–New York City, to be exact. I thought the air felt different. And what better way to get back into the American swing of things then to take in a baseball game, which is exactly what Brad and #1 son, Maddox, did last night. Front row, naturally. Do you know how many times I sat in the upper deck when I was not much older than Maddox and dreamed of those kind of seats? Lucky diva punk!

In other Brad news, he’s this month’s Details cover boy and he had some thoughts to share about turning forty a few years ago:

“I liked it, man. Maybe I had a crisis earlier or something. Maybe I had it in my 30s.”

“One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body’s not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart.”

Yeah, man, you’re really falling apart. I can barely stand to look at you…

The NYC trip is most likely a brief one, as Pitt is expected at the Toronto Film Festival next week to continue to promote “The Assassination of Jesse James, etc etc etc.” I’m sure the whole J-P brood will be right there beside them. They’re kind of like circus folk, with the way they travel from place to place. Except, you know, rich and without a bearded lady or guy who eats nails. Otherwise? Exactly alike.
