The Toronto Film Festival is really bringing out an interesting array of fashion choices–from the good to the bad to the WTF? I have to say, Rachel McAdams, at the premiere of her latest movie, “Married Life,” is in the last category.

Look I like Rachel, I do. She was great in “Mean Girls,” and I even liked her in “The Notebook”–and I HATED “The Notebook.” Blasphemous, I know, but there you have it. Anyway, I think Rachel is cute–and I think going back to the dark hair was a great move. The makeup is great–I wish I could do those forties-esque red lips without looking like a clown, but it’s not to be. As to the shoes? Love, love, love. I would tackle her, NFL-style, for those shoes.

That’s the good. Now for the rest. That dress is just…huh? It looks like she should be walking around Disney Land and posing for pictures with kids. At least from the front. From the back…well, there isn’t much of a back. Which would be ok, if only the front was better. As is, the style makes her look flat-chested–something she probably wasn’t going for.

But, hey, she’s still got Ryan Gosling, so something even with this fug outfit she’s still way ahead of the game.
