I’m not even a big Reese fan, but I do love my alliteration, hence the title. I mean, don’t get me wrong–I don’t hate her or anything; she’s just ‘meh’ in my book and wildly overrated as far as acting ability. I mean, her big breakout performance was in “Legally Blonde,” right? But, as a friend has told me time and again, “She was basically doing an Alicia Silverstone impersonation from ‘Clueless,’ and Alicia did it better.” To that I say: I concur.

Regardless, she’s a decent actress and she always remembers to wear underwear in public, which makes her, apparently, America’s Sweetheart. I can accept that. And here she is last night at the premiere of her new movie, “Rendition.” It’s supposed to be good, so we’ll see. Reese, though, does look lovely. Not overly matronly–as she’s done in the past–and the color of the dress and accessories really brings out her eyes. I’m not wild about the hair, but it’s ok.

In other news, Reese’s divorce from Ryan Phillippe is now official, almost a year after they first announced their separation. Which means Witherspoon is legally able to marry Jake Gyllenhaal now. Snerk…like THAT’S gonna happen. Though maybe they could go out for coffee and manis and pedis…
