Paula Abdul is in talks to perform–LIVE–at the Super Bowl next month, reports TV Guide blogger, Michael Ausiello. That’s right, the woman who routinely lip-synched when she was actually a relevant musical presence (shut up! “Opposites Attract” is an awesome song!) is now going to go live at an event watched by a kajillion people worldwide. Nevermind the fact that she can barely remain coherent and upright for an entire “American Idol” episode.

Supposedly, she’s also already recorded a duet with Randy Jackson for his upcoming Music Club Vol. 1 CD and is rehearsing for a video.

Oh, please, please, let this be true! She’s the next best thing to Britney as far as crazy goes! And I hope she has cameras following her all around to document it. If anyone watched her reality show, “Hey Paula,” last year you know she’s a drama queen to the nth degree and thinks anyone who doesn’t believe the sun shines out of her ass isn’t appreciating her. It would be awesome to see her get all “I worked my ass off…and they don’t applaud loud enough. That’s what’s wrong with people–they don’t see me for the gift that I am.”
