The DEA said they were going to look into Heath Ledger’s death and, whaddaya know, they actually are. People magazine is reporting that a doctor in California and a doctor in Texas are being investigated in regard to the many prescriptions for a variety of pills Ledger had. The doctors are believed to have the ones who Heath got his Oxycotin and Vicodin from.

I could see this happening very, very easily. Two doctors, two separate states–please. And, let’s face it, some docs are pretty quick to write a prescription. Which is not to say they’re blameless, but I don’t know that there was any intentional wrongdoing on their parts. I’m going out on a huge limb and predicting that’s what the investigation ends up revealing: just a tragic accident.
