The divorce between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is certainly one of the gossips of summer 2012. If we expected a war to the death between the two, things might be different. According to the U.S. website TMZ, in fact, the couple had decided to entrust the task of lawyers to negotiate a comprehensive agreement for divorce, leaving for the moment out of the courts, unless the negotiations fail.

Lawyers for the two stars have a difficult task: to find an agreement for the subdivision of property, an agreement on custody of Suri, the rounds of visits and its continuation. The entire agreement should be validated in the city of New York, and then Cruise would not be able to transfer a case in California where judges are more prone to joint custody. Katie Holmes was in fact going to ask for sole custody.

The reasons for failure would be certain now: it is said that Holmes was tired of the behavior of her husband, who wanted complete control over her, whatever is decided at the personal, familial, or in the workplace. Add to this that Katie could not bear that Suri fall into the hands of Scientology, who apparently has complete control of Cruise’s life.

Will the lawyers to ensure that the war between the two outbreaks and that does not end up in a divorce without much trauma? We will see.
