Lady Gaga posing for Vogue: backstage
All models dream of ending up on the cover of Vogue’s most important year to September. In 2012, the choice fell on an artist who has one foot in the world of fashion despite his main occupation is singing and dancing covered in blood. Anna Wintour, the dreaded director of the American edition of Vogue, a career that makes and breaks through with the simple imposition of heels, has entrusted the most sought-after page of his journal to Lady Gaga.
It is known that between the two there is always a good feeling, so that Wintour has ignored an unintentional insult invitation of a few years ago by Lady Gaga. For the latter the opportunity of a cover of such caliber is greedy, because wasting appearing on the set dressed in rags of flesh? The backstage video shows Miss Germanotta pull as ever, wearing clothes quite “strange” to fit his style without end over the top as usual.
The hair also deserves a mention.
We have not done precise calculations, but we can say without fear of contradiction that 90% of the video is made up of hair: blond, fluffy and thoughtful beyond measure. It is no coincidence that the song is the background is the movie Hair (hair, in English).
The shots, the work of photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, have already done quickly around the blogosphere. In particular, the image chosen as the cover has been clearly retouched to the computer. Lady Gaga is thin, but not so much as to have a life so narrowly: the video today is proof of that. And so on, the start of yet another controversy: yes Photoshop, Photoshop is not it?
