In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Affleck has revealed that he maintained a friendship very friendly with the ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez (who, at the time, wanted the protagonist of the official clip of Jenny from the block):

They are certainly not his advisor but every so often we send the long mail commenting on his latest video or any public appearance or on TV.

The actor has congratulated former flame for her role as a judge on American Idol:

I wished him the best of luck. I respect it. I like it. He put on a lot of irons in the fire and was rewarded by the injustices of life, I’m really happy to see his success.

The Hollywood star was then reminded the lowest point of his career when he had to go into a rehabilitation center for alcoholics anonymous in 2001:

I went to rehab to be completely sober to my twenty-ninth birthday party. Having crossed the threshold, I managed to clear my head and try to figure out who I wanted to be. Better understand myself was almost a rite of passage required for becoming a good husband and father.

In recent months, Affleck has defended his wife, Jennifer Garner (married in June 2005) by the constant harassment of a stalker:

This epimysium gave me a stronger sense of the feeling of security to my family. There are a lot of crazy, strange people out there. A really bad world.
