Brad Pitt bought Angelina Jolie £3,000 worth of lingerie for her birthday.

The ‘Salt’ actress – who recently underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene which causes breast cancer – celebrated turning 38 on Tuesday (04.06.13) and the ‘World War Z’ star marked the special occasion by treating his fiancée to a whole new wardrobe – including saucy underwear from high-end lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Since Angie has recovered from the surgery her and Brad have been acting like a couple of love-struck teenagers. They can’t keep their hands off each other. It was her birthday on Tuesday and as well as the underwear, Brad arranged for the French fashion designer Hedi Slimane from Saint Laurent in Paris to sort her out with a whole wardrobe full of new clothes.

“Angelina was so touched by Brad’s gifts that she teared up. She can’t wait to marry him this summer.”

Brad, 49, admitted he marked Angelina’s birthday with a “dirty” gift at the German premiere of his new zombie flick in Berlin, Germany, on Tuesday.

Quizzed what he bought for Angelina’s birthday, he told BILD: “Oh, that’s private, very private. But it’s always something for her as a woman, as a mother, and something dirty. Always.”

The couple first celebrated Angelina’s birthday with a romantic dinner in Paris on Monday (03.06.13) while in town for the French premiere of ‘World War Z’ and then enjoyed a family dinner with their six children – Maddox, 11, Pax, nine, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – at Japanese eatery Kuchi on her actual birthday in Berlin on Tuesday.

A source told E! News that the family arrived at the sushi restaurant at approximately 9.30pm and dined in a private room for nearly three hours.

The insider said: “They ordered speciality ramen, dumplings and sushi. Brad loved the toro sushi. Angelina and Brad sat across from each other. They seemed very happy together.

“The kids sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Angelina and a strawberry pudding cake was brought out.”

The family’s outing comes just one day after Brad, 49, treated the actress to an early birthday dinner in Paris on Monday night (03.06.13).

The actor whisked the brunette beauty off to high-end restaurant Il Vino – which is run by Enrico Bernardo, the youngest ever winner of the World’s Best Sommelier award – where the couple enjoyed fresh analogousness and a cake to mark Angelina’s special day.

After their romantic meal, Brad, 49, and Angelina headed to Silence nightclub – a hotspot designed by film director David Lynch – for a party with the actor’s co-stars.

Brad told BANG Showbiz: “I’m always proud to have her by my side. We’ve got work to do but it’s always more fun when she’s around.”

Angelina, who spent 20 minutes signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans, stunned onlookers in a flowing Saint Laurent black silk gown and Brad nodded his head in response to being told she looked beautiful, gushing: “I so agree!”

The actor also opened up about Angelina’s brave decision to undergo the preventative surgery and said he wasn’t surprised by her willingness to share the news.

He said: “I was so proud of her before. It’s absolutely who she is and she’s always been – when faced with a problem, she’s going to take it head on. And then she’ll make it her own, and find out what her options are, and make the smartest decision for her, and then she’s going to share that knowledge with whoever will listen.”

Angelina, who missed her beloved aunt Debbie Martin’s funeral in San Diego to support Brad at the screening, was in good spirits and said: “I’m here for Brad. I’m so proud of him.”

Debbie’s husband Ron previously said: “Angelina will be in London on Sunday so she won’t be able to attend but she has been in touch with us and with various other members of the family, which has obviously been lovely and has meant a lot to us.”

The duo starred in 2004 movie ‘Taking Lives’ together and although he has kissed numerous other women onscreen, Ethan, 42, – who has two children with wife Ryan – insists none of them can compare to Angelina.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, he said: “With all due respect – the woman has been in the press a lot lately – but my best onscreen kiss was with Angelina Jolie.

“Angelina Jolie was born to whittle men, to make them weak. And when she kisses you, you don’t know your name.”

Brad’s close friend and furniture business partner Frank Pollaro said: “Once I walked in and Angie was standing there and Zahara walked up and said, ‘Daddy, you’re not going to start making out with Mommy again, are you?’ And it’s like that.

“This is a guy who has tried not to do any sexy scenes with other women since he’s met Angelina. He’s crazy about her, and she’s the same way about him.”

Debbie’s husband Ron told E! News: “We are making the final arrangements for the funeral as we speak. But we expect it to be this Sunday at noon at El Camino Memorial in Sorrento Valley near our home.”

“Angelina will be in London on Sunday so she won’t be able to attend but she has been in touch with us and with various other members of the family, which has obviously been lovely and has meant a lot to us.”

Ron also revealed the family are hoping to start a charity to raise money for BRCA genetic testing.

He said: “We are currently in the process of setting up a foundation in Debbie’s memory and we are hoping to raise money for women who can’t afford to get BRCA testing.

“We are hoping to work with a charity called the Clearity Foundation so that every woman in America will have access to BRCA testing that could save her life–no matter how much money she has.”

Angelina Jolie is reportedly set to move her in-laws into her home.

The 37-year-old actress and her fiancé Brad Pitt want the actor’s parents, Jane and William, to join them at their Chateau Miraval estate in Provence, France, after the family bonded following Angelina’s decision to have a double mastectomy to prevent her from getting breast cancer.

A source told the new issue of Britain’s Grazia magazine: “Angelina’s illness has brought the whole family closer together. Jane has really been there for Ange. They never used to spend a lot of time together, but now Ange is really keen to have her close by … The shock of Angelina’s experience has really forced them to bond.”

Brad, 49, and Angelina – who are believed to be getting married in the summer – have started renovating their abode to cater for Brad’s parents and want to create them a permanent, private living space so they can come and go as they please from their home in the US.

The source said: “Work has started on the beautiful dovecote outbuilding – it’s like a little cottage. Brad is keen to make it as comfortable as possible, as they could be staying for a while.”

The ‘Salt’ actress – who recently revealed she underwent a double mastectomy after she was identified as carrying the BRCA1 cancer gene, which gave her an 87 per cent chance of developing breast cancer and a 50 per cent risk of ovarian cancer – and her family are in mourning after her aunt Debbie Martin, 61, passed away at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, California on Sunday morning (26.05.13).

The Oscar-winner’s uncle Ron Martin confirmed the sad news and praised the 37-year-old star and her brother James Haven for their support.

He told E! News: “Angelina has been in touch throughout the week and her brother Jamie has been with us, giving his support day by day. They both loved Debbie very much and although Angie is not able to come right now she has sent her love and support, which was very nice.

“We have seen Angelina a number of times since Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer and Debbie and I were both very proud of her recent decision to have the double mastectomy and to do everything she can to keep her family from having to go through what we’ve been through.

“Angelina’s father Jon Voight has also been tremendously supportive – he came down to see Debbie last Sunday and spent the whole day, talking with her and sharing his love and I know Debbie really enjoyed seeing him and talking with him.”

Debbie is survived by her husband Ron and their two sons Chris and Cory Martin.

The ‘Tomb Raider’ actress – who was overseas last week as part of the G8 summit, assuming her role as United Nations special envoy for refugee issues – arranged for her fiancé’s much-loved meal to be flown back home to the US with her after Brad was unable to join her on the trip.

Angelina – who has children Maddox, 11, Pax, nine, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad – is said to have ordered a lamb bhuna, chicken korma and chicken tikka from the heartthrob actor’s favorite curry house in Surrey, south east England, where they visited during their stay in Richmond.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Brad is back in America and has been longing for a decent curry.

“He really misses their Indian takeaway nights from when they lived in Surrey last year. Angelina arranged as a surprise for a load of it to be cooked and flash-freeze packed for her to fly home.

“So while she was at the G8, she sent her bodyguard Ray and eldest son Maddox to collect it and to stock up with more treats.

“They even got a load of Kingfisher and Cobra beer for Brad to wash it all down with.”

A similar ritual is carried out by soccer star David Beckham, who is known to ensure his home comfort meal of pie and mash from a shop in Waltham Abbey, Essex, is flown out to France while he trains for team team Paris Saint-Germain.

Shop owner Tony Lane explained: “We’ve already been told to send our pies over to France – and it’s not unusual. We did the same when he was at Madrid and even deliver them when he stays at the Savoy [hotel] in London.

The ‘Salt’ actress decided to remove her £250,000 engagement ring for her recent UN visit to the Congo and Rwanda because she didn’t want to be “ostentatious” and shortly before she flew out, her fiance surprised her by giving her the plain gold band to wear instead.

A source said:” She said she didn’t want to wear her engagement ring because she thought it was important not to be ostentatious with clothes and jewellery when in a poor region.

“Brad said he completely understood why she couldn’t wear her engagement ring, but he really wanted to give Angelina something special and more understated to wear instead. Angelina seemed truly touched by the special gift of his great-grandmother’s wedding ring, and it meant a lot to be able to take it on the trip with her.”

According to insiders on the trip, Angelina – who raises six children with Brad – was enamored by the replacement ring.

The source added to Grazia magazine: “She couldn’t stop playing with the replacement ring, which everyone was calling the ‘trick ring’

The 37-year-old actress has funded the girls only educational establishment – which caters to between 200 and 300 students – just outside of Kabul and hopes it will be the first of many schools she sets up.

Angelina plans to fund more schools by selling her own self-designed accessories collection, the Style of Jolie, to retail stores for the first time with 100 per cent of the profits going to her new foundation, The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.

She told E! News: “Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is also serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need.”

The United Nations Goodwill Ambassador is renowned for her charity work and last year was left in tears after visiting a Syrian refugee camp where she delivered a speech portraying her “concern” at the situation there.

She said: “I am very concerned, the world is very concerned. What is very heartbreaking is when Syrian people ask you why you think no one is able to find a solution for them.

“What they described on the ground, hearing it from them is so horrific. When you meet so many innocent people and civilians, the people of Syria are asking who is on their side, ‘Who is going to help us as the months go on?’”
