Jennifer Lopez will guest star on lesbian drama ‘The Fosters’.

The ‘American Idol’ judge is producing the show for ABC – which features a same-sex couple and their family – and although they have ruled out an appearance by Jennifer in the first episode, she is keen to take part later in the season.

Jake T. Austin, who plays a foster son to the couple, told E! News: “She was maybe thinking about doing a cameo in the pilot, but there was some apprehension in deciding how early they wanted to feature someone like her into the show.

“So she’ll definitely come on but at this point we just don’t know when.”

Jake is excited about the show, which features Teri Polo and Sherri Saum as the lesbian couple, because he feels it is “very timely”.

Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband says she is a “diva”.

The singer-and-actress was married to Cris Judd for nine months in 2001 and the dancer admits she wasn’t always easy to work with.

When asked who was the biggest diva he’s worked with, Cris said: “The most respected one would have to be Diana Ross. It was a pleasure to work with her and we all called her Miss Ross.

“But, of course, Jennifer was [a diva]! She’s an amazing performer and a confident professional. She’s always striving to be better. You have to respect that.”

Despite their short-lived union, Cris insists he and the former ‘American Idol’ judge are still on “good terms” and have an amicable relationship.

He said: “I was doing a tribute for Michael Jackson at MTV and I saw her in the audience. We kind of waved at each other, and that was about it. The things that happened between us… It didn’t work out, but it was amicable. We left on good terms.”

Cris previously worked with Michael, the late ‘King of Pop’ and credits the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker with making his dancing better.

The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker returns to screens as Leslie Rodgers in upcoming crime thriller film ‘Parker’ and following a tough couple years, which have seen her splitting from husband Marc Anthony in April 2012 after seven years of marriage, and Jennifer has been able to use her “pain” to play her character.

She told New York Post newspaper: “I think I am now ready to really work as an actress. Maybe because I’m different now. I’ve suffered some experiences lately.

“These last years I’ve had to face life. The truth is, that must be it. To be a great actress you must live through difficult times in order to feel it and remember that pain.”

‘Parker’ director Taylor Hackford – whose wife is actress Dame Helen Mirren – has also praised the 43-year-old star’s acting skills in the flick, admitting he was “knocked out” by her talent.

He said: “Jennifer’s wonderful in this. I’ve known her. After I did a couple of drafts, I called her. The action’s set in Palm Beach, and, since Florida’s really Latin America, who’s better than Jennifer?

“Her work knocked me out. There’s moments in other projects that I knew were not great. Give an actor notes, best he’ll give you is 25 per cent. Give Lopez notes, and she gives you 100 percent. Helen loved her in it.”

Jennifer – who has four-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc – recently admitted she isn’t someone to “give up” on love and is very happy with her current squeeze, 25-year-old back-up dancer Casper Smart.

The 43-year-old star said: “I am just one of those people who doesn’t give up and I know if you just hang on you will live and you will love again.

Jennifer Lopez had a secret meeting her ex-husband on Tuesday (22.01.13).

The former ‘American Idol’ judge – who has been dating her back-up dancer Casper Smart for more than a year – reportedly went to visit Marc Anthony, who is the father of her four-year-old twins Emme and Max, at his New York hotel.

A source told the New York Post’s Page Six that the 43-year-old beauty spent two and a half hours with the Latin singer at ‘The Mark’ hotel, who was later seen emerging with his head down in a bid to go unnoticed.

The eyewitness said: “He came out really quickly, with his head down, like he didn’t want to be seen.”

Jennifer, dressed in thigh-high stiletto boots and a leopard-print mini-dress, left shortly afterwards with a huge smile on her face.

Jennifer recently revealed that she felt like her “whole world had fallen apart” after her divorce from Marc.

The couple married in June 2004 and the couple welcomed their twins into the world in February 2008.

The pair separated in July 2011 and Marc filed for divorce in April 2012.

The couple – who refer to each other as “bear” – sent sickly sweet messages on the micro-blogging site on Thursday (25.10.12) to mark a full year since they first began dating.

Jennifer wrote: “@BEAUcasperSMART BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is OUR’s!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful smile with me everyday! #SpecialDay #LOVE! (sic)”

Casper, 25, replied: “Happy 1 yr. anniversary to the most Gorgeous, Kind, Sweet, Funny, Beautiful Lil Bear in the world…. Love Bear ?#October25 (sic)”

Despite three failed marriages, Jennifer, 43, who has four-year-old twins Max and Emme with her former husband Marc Anthony, recently insisted she still believes love is the most important thing.

She said: “You have to believe there’s somebody out there who is trustworthy, who’ll stick in there.

“It’s difficult when a family breaks up. I’m still living through it, just trying to do my best with the kids and moving on. It was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever made. It’s been tough

“I still believe in love. That would be my message: love is the most important thing.”

The 43-year-old star – who divorced singer Marc Anthony last year after seven years of marriage – admits she has regrets about her past relationships and she says she should have been more patient.

She said: “I feel it was not giving certain things chances. I’m not talking about what just happened [the divorce from Marc] but something in the past.”

Speaking about her heart break from her marriage break-down she told the Daily Mail Weekend: “It was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever made. It’s been tough and my life has had to involve a lot of manoeuvring.”

Despite Lopez, who is currently engaged to choreographer Casper Smart, younger than her 18 years, has been married three times (as well as Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2011, with Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and from Cris Judd 2001 to 2003), confessed that he has not yet abandoned the idea of being “happily ever after” and that is ” working this”

I believe in love. I believe in marriage. I’m just trying to get it right, like all other people.
